Rest and recovery are essential aspects of any fitness programme and are as important as the exercise itself. Adequate rest plays a key role in a bid to maintain optimum performance levels and should not be underestimated. Continuous exercise and training can actually weaken the body and not give the muscles time to rebuild and strengthen.
